What About????


Scheduling a Baptism? 1. Call the Parish Center and arrange to attend one preparation class for infant baptism. Classes are usually held the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m.
2. Baptisms are usually celebrated the first and third Sundays at 1:30 p.m.

 

What about weddings? 1. The Archdiocese of Detroit requires that all marriages must be arranged at least six months before the wedding date. 2. All couples must speak with the Pastor in order to reserve a wedding date on the parish calendar. 3.  Most weddings are celebrated on Fridays after 4 p.m. or on Saturday at 1 or 3 p.m.

 

When is the Sacrament of Reconciliation available? 1. Individual Reconciliation Saturdays at 1 p.m. 2. Individual Reconciliation by appointment. Call the office to speak with the Pastor to schedule. 3. Advent and Lenten Communal Reconciliation Liturgies.

 

When do children have the opportunity to receive the Sacraments? 

First Communion - 2nd grade, during the Easter Season (late April/early May)

First Reconciliation - 4th grade formally celebrated during Lent (March)

Confirmation - 9th grade, late October or early November

 

What about care of the sick and homebound? Call the parish office to make arrangements.

 

What about funerals? Call the parish center to make arrangements. Assistance will be offered in planning the funeral liturgy.  Luncheons are available immediately after the funeral in the Parish Hall.

 

How do I schedule a Memorial Mass?  Parishioners may schedule up to six masses per year.  Visit or call the parish office to make arrangements.

 

What about prayers for those who are sick?  Add your intentions to the Parish Book of Prayer located in the Gathering Space or call the parish office for inclusion of a name in the weekend's Prayers of the Faithful.
