There are many opportunities for those interested in music.
Children's Choir - Practices thee Mondays per month. The choir consists of two groups. Children in K-2nd grade practice from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. Those in 3rd grade and up practice from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The children usually sing at 9:45 a.m. Mass on the last Sunday of the month as well as special liturgies. Practices follow the Utica School calendar. Contact Nina Hardiewich at 677 2477 for additional information.
Adult Choir - Open to all ages, high school and older. The choir sings at the 9:45 a.m. Mass three weekends per month as well as special occasions. Rehearsals are held on each Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. The choir sings a wide variety of music from traditional to contemporary. It is a friendly family-like group always eager to welcome new voices and new friends.
Christmas Choir - Open to all ages, high school and up. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from 8:00 to 9:15 p.m., beginning in October. The Christmas Choir sings with the choir during Advent, Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve, the 9:45 a.m. Masses on the Sundays to the Epiphany.
Voices of Praise Vocal Ensemble - Open to experienced singers between the ages of 14 and 18. The choir sings at the 11:45 a.m. Sunday Mass approximately two times a month with occasional appearances at other masses or special liturgies. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at 7 p.m.
Resurrection Choir - Supports families in their time of grief with music. This group sings at funerals which are generally held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on weekdays and Saturdays. The rehearsals are held one half hour before each funeral. Sign up for the day you wish to volunteer...as many or as few as you choose.
